Baskery is a powerhouse trio of Swedish sisters who have been making music together since they were old enough to pick up instruments. Known as the queens of "banjopunk," Baskery seamlessly fuse the timeless appeal of roots and Americana music with a bold, punk-inspired edge that flips tradition on its head.
The band's debut album, Fall Among Thieves (2008), co-produced in Stockholm by Lasse Mårtén (known for work with Pink, Lykke Li, and Primal Scream), firmly established Baskery as a fresh force in the music scene, earning them widespread acclaim and a loyal following. Since then, they've released a string of albums and EPs, collaborating with renowned producers like Blackpete (Depeche Mode, Joe Jackson), Matt Wignall (Cold War Kids), and Andrew Dawson (Kanye West, Rolling Stones).
Baskery’s live performances are a spectacle of energy and charisma. In 2015, they opened for Robbie Williams on his European arena tour, later joining Gary Clark Jr. and Brandi Carlile for a U.S. tour. They've also graced major festival stages worldwide, including Newport Folk Festival, Bonnaroo, Bottlerock, and Colours of Ostrava. With a sound that’s equal parts rebellious and reverent, Baskery continues to redefine roots music for a new generation.
